SuperSkin assessed her recovery and therapy by supporting the recovering knee joint as she strengthens her hips and ankles through Squats, deadlifts and agility work, all capable pain free with traditional therapy and Superskin.

Ellen’s Story
Ellen is a 67-year-old lawyer and mother of two who lives in a hilly neighborhood and is very active. She suffered an initial knee injury in 2005, and pain reappeared in 2015 and persisted through 2018, when results of a MRI showed somewhat significant swelling of the right knee joint with severe degenerative changes, some spurring and some more loose bone chips, as well as a torn meniscus. This was the worst knee pain Ellen felt during the course of her various injuries, to the point she was unable to walk and felt anxious, fearful and helpless at the time, but also eager to find a solution that didn’t necessarily require surgery. She takes an integrated approach to managing her knee pain which includes physical therapy, personal training, stationary bike, hip exercises, leg lifts, and general muscle strengthening. According to Ellen, the potential for knee pain is always on her mind, and she was seeking a better solution.Ellen was introduced to SuperSkin by its creator Chris Dudziak, who was also her personal trainer, in August 2018. She wears SuperSkin when she is riding her bike, skiing, and when working out at the gym. Says Ellen: “The device helps stabilize my knee joint and gives me more confidence. I feel stronger when I wear it and my knee feels better even after I remove the brace. I love it and would not ski or workout without it!” She further notes that she likes the device because of its flexibility and fit, that she doesn’t notice it during many activities, notably skiing, and likes that it’s waterproof.
Today 2020, Ellen is free to Dance, Ski, Golf, and ride bikes all pain free, while pushing herself and without wearing doing simple repeatable movement

1) Stand on 1 leg & balance, with the opposite foot reach as far in the Anterior direction

Single Leg Triple Jump: Sagittal, SagittalLateral/Medial
Protocol:
A) Stand on one leg and jump 3 times in the forward direction along a straight line.
B) Jump forward and left and right of the line
Single leg Knee Extension in Ergometer
Protocol:
Sit in Ergo meter and do single knee extensions
while measuring Torque, force, Peek and average.
